Setup and first use

Turn a board PDF into live, located work.

SheetPins is a monday.com Board View. It places pins on PDF plans and links every pin to a real item on the same board, so the plan and task list stay connected.

Before you begin

A monday board You need permission to add a Board View. View-only users can inspect SheetPins but cannot change plans, pins, fields, mappings, or photos.
A source PDF Attach a PDF of 50 MB or less to a Files column on any item in the board. Multi-page PDFs are supported.
Useful board columns Status, People, Date, and Files columns let SheetPins show task status, owners, due dates, priority, and site photos.

Quick start

  1. Install SheetPins

    Install the app for your monday.com account. On the target board, add a new Board View and select SheetPins.

  2. Connect monday access

    Select Connect monday access, finish authorization in the new tab, then return to the Board View and reload. SheetPins uses this connection to verify your live access to the exact board before loading workspace data.

  3. Select the plan

    Select Select board PDF, then choose a PDF from a Files column. The PDF remains a monday asset; SheetPins saves only the reference and pin workspace.

  4. Place a task pin

    Select Place task pin, click the plan, and either create a new monday item or link an existing item from the board.

  5. Map and update fields

    Open a pin and expand Board field mapping. Choose compatible columns for status, owner, priority, due date, and site photos. Save edits back to monday from the pin panel.

  6. Keep evidence with the item

    Map a Files column under Site photos, then attach images. Photos remain on the linked monday item and appear in the pin gallery.

Keep the workspace current

Switch PDFs safely

Use Add board PDF to save another independent plan. The Saved PDF menu switches views without combining pin sets or deleting prior work.

Carry a revision forward

Select the replacement PDF as a revision. Review the page-count warning, then confirm. SheetPins preserves the logical document, pin coordinates, and monday item links. A revision that omits a pinned page is blocked.

Refresh board changes

Select Refresh tasks after teammates update the Main Table. SheetPins also refreshes when the view regains focus.

Export with Pro

Select Export punch list. SheetPins retrieves the active plan and latest linked-item fields, then creates a new flattened PDF with marked pages and task/photo details.

If something does not load

  1. Reload the Board View

    Temporary monday asset links and signed sessions expire. A reload obtains fresh access without changing saved pins.

  2. Reconnect monday access

    If SheetPins asks you to connect or reconnect, finish the flow in the new tab, return to the Board View, and reload once.

  3. Send the support ID

    Contact support with the exact error, what you were doing, and the opaque request/support ID if one appears. Do not email PDFs, photos, access tokens, or other sensitive customer data.
